Events in Lockport Happening This Summer

There is a lot happening in the beautiful city of Lockport this summer, here are some of the most notable events! 

The “Cruisin’ Into Lockport” car show will be held on Mondays from 4 PM and 9 PM, starting June 6th. This car show features a variety of vehicles and different car themes every week like ‘50’s Night, ‘60’s Night, ‘70’s Night and more! State St. between 9th St. & 11th St. will be lined with cars and attendees can also enjoy live music at Central Square, 222 E. 9th St. from 6 PM to 8 PM. 

The live music event “Friday’s in the Park” takes place at Lincoln Landing, 200 E 9th St #234, Lockport, IL 60441, from 7 PM to 10 PM. This event features a variety of bands along with concessions and food trucks. “Friday’s in the Park” is scheduled for June 3rd, July 1st, August 5th and September 2nd. Some of the bands include The Taylor Street Band , The Crook County Blues Band , Peach's Beach Party  and Croozin' The Loop.  

Another popular Lockport event is the Old Canal Days! The Old Canal Days begin on June 9th, and go through June 12th, 303 W 2nd Street, Lockport, IL. This 4-day long event features a carnival, parade, beer garden, wine tent, live music, trolley tours, a petting zoo and so much more! Some of the musicians performing at the Old Canal Days festival include Poison'd Crue, Semple, ARRA and Beyond The Blonde. 

Music on the Patio, 9433 Renwick Road, Crest Hill, is another family-friendly musical event. Enjoy a variety of different entertainers and music every Wednesday and Thursday, starting the first week of June through August! Some of the entertainers performing at Music on the Patio include Jonny Lyons, Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones and Cheryl Rodey.
