Fun Activities in Lockport, IL
Thinking of moving to Lockport, IL? This great city just 45 minutes outside of Chicago has so much to offer. With easy access to I-355 and the Heritage Corridor Metra train line, the city is just a short commute away. The activities! You can stroll along the I&M Canal or visit many of the summer events including Old Canal Days, the farmers markets and the car shows.
The historic landmarks! The Gaylord Building, constructed in 1838, is right on the I&M. This building features an art gallery, upscale dining, and more! Will County Historical Museum and Research Center is another historic site which was previously known as the Michigan Canal Office Building. The building now functions as a headquarters and museum.
