Getting to know our agent: Breanne Cochand

Breanne Cochand, Realtopia Real Estate agent, has been at Realtopia since the very start. She was the very first agent-hire for the York Team. Cochand is not only an agent, but she is a single mom, who is also a teacher. 

She started in real estate in 2014 and says she has loved the flexibility of the job since the beginning. She has the ability to make it a very successful side job that makes her happy. 

Her journey with Realtopia started with the conception of the company, as she heard Ashley York was looking to start a brokerage. She knew Ashley was a young, working mom who also would be a business owner and that was a very attractive quality and is truly what brought her to Realtopia. 

She said she also knew Realtopia also would have the latest and very competitive technology, as opposed to some other brokerages. She would not have her money going towards a landline, office phone, but rather a file management system called Dotloop. 

Everything about Realtopia was what she needed and wanted it to be. When she wanted to be super involved, she was; when she needed time to care for her daughter and teach, she was able to manage her own schedule and set aside real estate but still be part of the brokerage. 

Cochand truly loves the community that is in every aspect of the office.

“Realtopia attracts team players,” she said. “I like the comradery and the amazing friendships.”

She also recalls so many amazing laughs and memories with Kristen Shedor, who she has worked very closely with over the years. There have been so many times when she could not stop laughing over some crazy adventures when at a home. 

“It was always a blast working with Bre,” Managing Broker Kristen Shedor said.” Breanne is very dependable, easy going and she cares about our clients. I'm lucky to be able to work with an agent like her!”

Cochand truly appreciates how helpful and supportive everyone at the office is, especially the managing brokers. 

“Thank you [Ashley and Kristen] for all the insight, the support and being so positive and welcoming,” Cochand said. 

She is also appreciative of everything they do and enjoys the environment they created with the office and all the annual events they have planned. 

Part of the industry she really loves is how she can find her niche. Teaching is truly her calling, and she has found a way to educate within real estate. 

“I love being able to educate first-time buyers,” she said. 

A lot of her clients are first-time home owners or those who are not up to date with the current real estate market and she really enjoys being able to teach them something along the way. 

“I want to help people make the best decision,” she said. 

Cochand has been able to make real estate fit into her life and her interests, and she wants to continue to do so alongside Realtopia.
