Getting to know our agent: Hussain Kazmi

Hussain Kazmi, Realtopia Real Estate agent, has been at Realtopia Real Estate since the summer of 2017. He was part of the first agents who ever stepped foot in the office and he is still part of the team. Why? 

“I stay around for the people,” Kazmi said. 

He said the environment is what is so great about the brokerage. It is not as cut-throat as many other brokerages and Realtopia is very collaborative. Every agent is always willing to help anyone else. He said he knows, even the top producer, Kristina Klein, would always be more than happy to help him, even if he was in the top spot.

“Hussain is a great colleague,” Klein said. “He is funny and down to earth. I have enjoyed collaborating with him on ideas. He brings a lot of knowledge to the table and you can tell he really cares about his clients.” 

No matter where she stands, or anyone else for that matter, they are always willing to lend a helping hand. 

Kazmi said he came from a Coldwell Banker, which is a larger company. But at the end of the day, he is glad he is here.  He said Realtopia fosters growth and community and he feels that he is always heard. When he brought concerns to Managing Broker, Ashley York, she listened to him and tried her best to accommodate him, and he is very grateful for that. 

“They care here,” Kazmi said. “That is something you don't find at other brokerages.”

And while real estate may not be glamorous all the time, Kazmi said he does his best to stay positive. For every bad transaction, there is always a good one and he uses that positivity to get through every bit of rejection or hard deal. 

In January, he began working with his now wife, Katrina Nutini-Kazmi. Together they form the Sold by Kazmi team. He said she always has helped him, so having her as part of the team officially has made it even more fun. Before she was a licensed realtor, she would always help with the administrative side of things, and now they get to do even more of the process together. 

“It’s nice to have someone you work with be someone you trust,” Kazmi said. 

Since they have created the team, he said they have had such good feedback and it is a very good feeling. 

Kazmi’s hard work also paid off in other ways. He was recently awarded the 20 under 40 award. This is an award that recognizes 20 agents who are under 40 for, not only their transactions, but what they do to better the industry as a whole. He felt honored and “just doing his job” is what got him the recognition. 

Kazmi plans to continue to grow in the future and hopes to become a mentor and a coach for any agents who need it. He wants to be the mentor he did not have before coming to Realtopia.
