How to be successful with Instagram Reels
As the next wave of social media marketing is embedded in video, you should learn all the ins and outs of video features on each social media platform.
Instagram offers and has a feature called “reels.” Reels are 15, 30 or 60 second videos that will be populated so newsfeeds and explore pages.
This is important because the explore page is different for every user and the user does not have to be following you to see the content; thus pushing your content out to those who do not follow you but like similar content to what you are producing. In turn, you hope to follow your content.
So how do you ensure your content gets put on as many explore pages and you get hundreds or more views? Let’s break it down.
You want to find content that applies to your audience but will also appeal to a wide variety of users. In order to do this, be on the lookout for trends on TikTok, stories and on other social media platforms. Using trends from other platforms and that are already popular, increase your likelihood of someone else searching for your content already.
Along the same lines is to search for popular and trending sounds. Using your own explore page, see what audio and sounds you are seeing often and see how you can apply the sound to your business or you as a person!
Once you find the sound and apply it to your own business, film and post it!
If you are nervous about this part, head over to our blog about TikTok for a little motivation!
Once you are ready to post, get your caption ready and add hashtags to it! Hashtag the sh*t out of it! Use 3-4 hashtags that relate to the content itself and use 3-4 other hashtags that can apply to your audience or that are viral and trending at the moment. By doing this, you will help an even larger audience see your content!
The goal of all of this is to get your content seen by as many people as possible.
Don’t stop there though, make sure you share your reel. Share it on your story, on other social media platforms and watch views climb.
