Summer maintenance tips
We are halfway through 2022! Can you believe it? This means we are about to enter summer, even though the weather makes it feel like it has started already! As summer begins, it is important to maintain your home and make sure you are ready for any weather and/or company!
Here’s a list of both indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks you should consider doing in the coming weeks.
Indoor:
Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
Clean sink disposals
Vacuum vents
Reverse ceiling fans
Wash the inside of windows
Clean the dryer vent and exhaust duct
Clean baseboards
Clean dishwasher
Outdoor:
Clean out gutters and downspouts
Power wash sidewalks and driveway
Power wash and reseal decks
Clean and prep grilling equipment
Clean outdoor furniture and play areas
Wash outside of windows and clean screens
Inspect and/or repair any cracks in the foundation
Check for any rotting wood and repair as needed
Repair or repaint any chipped or faded exterior paint
Service air conditioner
While not all of these things need to happen all at once, it is important to keep in mind these items this summer. Several of these tasks are preventive measures and can help avoid a fire or further damage.
